Import a CSV file

To import a CSV file, you need the CSV file to be accessible via a URL. Ply converts the CSV content from the provided URL into a table.

Step-by-step instructions

1. Start with a file hosting URL for a CSV file. This may have been produced in an earlier workflow step or found online.

2. In Ply, add the step “Import a CSV file”.

3. Enter the URL of your CSV file.

4. Ply imports the data, converting it into a table format. The data in the CSV can now be manipulated and sent to any supported integration.

Example 1 - Lead import portal

Suppose you have a partners portal for "Lead imports", where partners upload lead data in CSV. This generates a file hosting URL.

1. Map this URL in the step.

2. The step output is a table.
