Design and customization
Ply's theme builder lets you bring your brand's unique style into your features
How to edit your portal's theme
To start customizing your portal’s appearance, open the Design tab in the builder.
Go to the Design tab, in the top-bar above your portal's workflow.
You’ll see the current theme applied to your feature, if there is one.
Here, you’ll find a Template Gallery with designs from our gallery or from other portals in your account.
To apply a theme from the gallery
Choose a template from the gallery that matches your style.
Click Apply Theme to see how it looks with your feature.
Reusing themes
Any theme that you save can be reused across portals in your workspace, making it easy to maintain a consistent style.
Theme customization
Once you've applied a theme, you can make further adjustments to match your brand by clicking Edit theme
Click Edit Theme to begin customizing.
In Edit Mode, you’ll find three main sections you can modify:
Brand Panel: This is an area that is purely for design. Interfaces from the workflow will be displayed adjacent to the brand panel.
Interface Section: This section displays the interfaces from the workflow.
Hint: in the top-left, you can use the dropdown to preview different interfaces from your workflow in the theme builder
Logo Placement: Choose where you want the logo to appear—either in the Brand Panel, Interface Section, or not at all.
Mobile view
You can preview how your portal will look on mobile devices. Any changes you make in the mobile view will affect only the mobile version.
Switch to Mobile View to see how your design will look on smaller screens.
Make specific changes to optimize the mobile experience – note, these changes will affect only the mobile.
The Brand Panel on mobile is collapsible, so users can focus on the Interface Section and expand the Brand Panel to learn more about your brand when needed.
