Exceeding quotas

Learn about billing settings that can keep your critical Ply portals running at all times. These settings also affect paid automation and credit plans.

This article is relevant only to customer features (portals).

Your portal task quota can be a hard limit – once reached, your portals stop working.

Or, you can enable exceeding quotas, which keeps your features working even once your quota is reached. At the end of your monthly usage cycle, you'll be charged on a per-task basis:

How to enable pay-per-use tasks

Only workspace admins can enable this setting. Here are step-by-step instructions on how to do so.

1. Go to your Usage and billing settings

2. In the Overview, turn on the toggle for Exceeding quotas enabled

Quotas for all relevant paid plans can now be exceeded. Overage charges will be billed at the end of the usage cycle.

Upgrading before overage invoice

To avoid paying overage charges, you can upgrade to a plan whose quota covers your usage before the end of your usage cycle.

When you do this, all overage charges are waived and you will be charged a prorated fee for the remainder of the current billing cycle for your new plan.
